ISO 9001 / ISO 14001

"A total of 611,209 management systems certified as conforming to ISO 9000 (quality management) standards or to ISO 14001 (environmental management) were being implemented by organizations worldwide at the end of 2002, compared to 547,381 a year earlier." (International Organization for Standardization, 2004)

QS-9000 / TS16949

QS-9000 has recently been superceded by ISO / TS16949 which, "in conjunction with ISO 9001:2000, defines the quality management system requirements for the design and development, production and, when relevant, installation and service of automotive-related products." (International Organization for Standardization, 2004)

AS9100

Similar to TS16949 (though a product of the International Aerospace Quality Group), it supplements ISO9001:2000 for the aerospace industry. (Quality Digest, May 2002)

Malcolm Baldridge National Quality Award
